$20,000 Funds available to first-time home buyers.

The Maryland Mortgage program has just announced a limited offer to first time home buyers, if you are a first-time home buyer, or are buying in a targeted area, you could receive up $20,000 dollars worth of assistance to put towards your downpayment and principle. If you're purchasing in Anne Arundel County or other counties, you are still eligible for up to $10,000.

Targeted areas are in PG county, 20743-CapitolHeights,20746-Suitland,20706-Lanham,20745-OxonHill,20747-DistrictHeights,20772and20774-UpperMarlboro,20748-TempleHills,20744-FortWashington,20737-Riverdale,20784-Landover/Hyattsville,20785-LandoverHills/Hyattsville,20710-Bladensburg,and20722-Brentwood. 

The grant is given by the Maryland Mortgage Program in the form of a 0% loan, payable upon the sale of the house. There are income limits attached to the offer, but the program applies to a wide range of purchasers.
